BritRock Awards

“BritRock goes from strength to strength with an overwhelming number of entries in the modern jive categories especially in Dance With A Stranger (Lucky Dip).  We need more men to even up the numbers so for now ladies, if you haven’t entered, we aren’t accepting any further entries however there still may be a slim chance on the day – just come to the front desk as soon as you arrive. For the men out there who haven’t yet entered the Dance With A Stranger Category, we need you and looking at the list of ladies we have, you could end up with a teacher, past open champion or one of the really good dancers that we see through to the semis and finals year upon year.  Get your names down now either email me or phone and we can sort out everything else on Saturday morning – alternatively you can book onto the category on Saturday when you arrive. Our WCS and Youth categories are undersubscribed so it appears that the word has not quite reached our younger dancers and WCS dancers and as such, we feel it better this year to focus on the modern jive categories. So, unless we get at least 10 more couples for each category and really make a competition of these categories, we will withdraw them leaving more time for both freestyle and competition heats on the day – do get in touch quickly i.e.; by lunchtime tomorrow if you wish to enter either of these categories.”
