Jivemasters 2009

It has been a while since one of the greatest events in Modern Jive was last run but CerocMetro are proud to announce that they are going to be hosting this amazing event in 2009.

For those of you who don't know, the Jivemasters is a competition that is unique in the Modern Jive world. Its main differences from other events are
1) the competitiors are all existing dance champions and professionals,
2) the audience are the only judges,
3) it is probably the most prestigious title to hold in Modern Jive.

If you are interested in entering or know someone who should be, please e-mail them at ceroc@hotmail.com.
Entry is subject to you having won a recognised dance competition, or you are a teacher or a professional dancer. This competition is NOT restricted to one style of dancing. Anyone can enter from Salsa, West Coast Swing, Rock 'n' Roll etc., but the audience will judge who they think are the best dancers and the best entertainers. There is £2000 prize money for the winners and a title that many have made careers out of.

The heats will be held in South Herts full details to be announced later this year.

All these events are great opportunities to learn from great teachers, make new friends and dance the night away.

If you are planning a holiday in 2008, why not check the list of holidays, weekends and competitions at modernjive.com and see if you can take in some dancing while you are there.

Note to organisers:
Is your event listed at
modernjive.com?  If not, please send me the details (with up to 500 characters of description).
(But please check first at
modernjive.com - you may be listed already!)
We do not list individual workshops or freestyles - they are listed well at lots of other sites (see the bottom of this note for a list).
Events in this list are Competitions, Dance Holidays, and major Weekend Events: ones with multiple workshops from multiple teachers, together with an evening dance.
