Music Club
Sarah's Modernjive has been invited to join a very prestigious music club sharing tracks with other DJs from around the UK and across waters.

Organising this club is BritRock's DJ - 'DJ Bunny' a.k.a Sally Ford the most fabulous of DJ's who thrilled the crowds and competitors with most amazing selection of music last October 2007 at the annual BritRock Championships.

So if you have been to one of our events for a while give Sarah a call and we'll arrange you a Freebie, so you can come and see for yourself.

'First Friday' - Dance Nights
Last Friday night was a fabulous evening with the most wonderful of people attending. Simon & Nicole performed not just one but TWO amazing showcase cabarets which will be available on U-Tube shortly.

Sunday they delighted us with an thoroughly enjoyable workshop, pitched at just the right level. A few moves well taught with explanations why and how was the order of the day.

Beginner 'Smooth Jive' Workshop for Intermediates
Smooth Jive is the way forward in LeRoc Modern Jive, it concentrates on 'Lead & Follow and working 'In a Slot' with well instructed smooth moves that feel comfortable for yourself and your partner.

Not wanting to leave anyone behind and for all those of you who have expressed and interest in progressing with your jive, we are arranging  Beginner Workshops to be coming up soon. These are likely to be very popular so let us know your preferred venue, time and date, and we will set it up.

Please be thinking/asking around for some-one to join you on the workshop, which will have an option to rotate or fixed partner

 

 

BOGOF
Don't forget - if you want to go dancing twice a week there is an offer to 'Buy One Get One free'. Come dancing on a Tuesday at East Dean Village Hall, or Thursday at Bexhill Athletics club and get a BOGOF voucher to  dance FREE of charge at the fabulous and very popular Eastbourne Town Hall

We are now in a position to make regular donations to this project and payments in have now started.
So.... each time you come dancing, you can know that your new pastime is 'directly' helping orphaned children in Africa.

Sarah's Modern Jive is in its 8th year and going from strength to strength.

Starting off with one class in Sept 2000 it has grown to three healthy friendly venues in the East Sussex area. We hold monthly dances at the beautiful Eastbourne Town Hall, monthly Workshops of varying levels, 3 Special Dances at the fabulous Winter Gardens, popularly known as 'Putting on the Ritz' and 3 Brighton Balls at The Hove Centre in Brighton as well as BritRock Independent Modern Jive Competition every October.

All venues have an attractive charm of their own, as well as excellent floors and ventilation. Staff and Crew Dancers are chosen for their kindness, willingness to help and smiley faces.
