Sarah's Modernjive has been invited to join a very prestigious music club sharing tracks with other DJs from around the UK and across waters.

Organising this club is BritRock's DJ - 'DJ Bunny' a.k.a Sally Ford the most fabulous of DJ's who has consistently thrilled the crowds and competitors with amazing music at all the BritRock Championships.

Update on Carol’s teaching trip to Ghana

You may remember that Carol Mockett, one of Sarah's MJ crew members, is to teach English in Ghana soon and we held a fund-raising dance at Easter.  Just to let you know that she has managed to raise just over £1,000 to date, so thank you to all those people who kindly donated via the dance or sponsored walk.  She is leaving on Saturday, 5^th July and returns at the end of the month, so she’ll be missing from our Wednesday lessons for the whole month.

She was kindly given lots of items to sell at a boot sale, which seemed too good to sell there, so on Saturday 21st June at the Town Hall dance we will be holding a raffle to raise a few extra ££s towards her total needed of £3,000!!  The items include a remote-controlled aeroplane, remote-controlled motorbike, and a wooden photo album.

Beginner 'Smooth Jive' Workshop for Intermediates
Smooth Jive is the way forward in LeRoc Modern Jive, it concentrates on 'Lead & Follow and working 'In a Slot' with well instructed smooth moves that feel comfortable for yourself and your partner.

Not wanting to leave anyone behind and for all those of you who have expressed and interest in progressing with your jive, we are arranging  Beginner Workshops to be coming up soon. These are likely to be very popular so let us know your preferred venue, time and date, and we will set it up.

Please be thinking/asking around for some-one to join you on the workshop, which will have an option to rotate or fixed partner
