First Friday Freestyle (TGI) - Dance Night
There was a 'Summer Theme' running along this dance night which was popular,  enjoying the fresh fruit, yellow and orange flowers, balloons and table clothes. Many of you dressed in the approriate theme and all enjoyed an increase in Numbers of dancers as we all appreciated the extreme teaching talents and freestyle dance demonstration from Simon & Nicole the 7 UK Jive Champions.

Long may it continue, please help and spread the word, the next 1st Friday is Friday 5th  September, followed by their next workshop Saturday 6th

Sarah's Modern Jive Holiday
Sarah is not going any where but will be taking some time out to organise the fantastic BritRock Awards coming up in October and re launch her new ideas in September, by closing the Tuesday and Thursday classes for the month of August and will
re-open the 1st week of September with East Dean Village Hall on Tuesday 2nd September.

** WEDNESDAYS WILL CONTINUE **

We want it to be made very clear the Wednesday classes will continue uninterrupted throughout the Summer at Eastbourne Town Hall, Grove Road.
With holidays season and children off school etc we will consolidate the people still around to enjoy Sarah's Modern Jive into one FANTASTICALLY good class rather than three classes lacking in numbers.

Please tell your friends and invite them all along to the Town Hall on Wednesdays.

Brighton Ball - 30th August 2008, The Great Hall, Hove Town Hall.

The last one was fabulous as they all are ! Get your tickets in advance and save £5 - plus you'll get first choice of tables and guarantee your place. Some people told us that it was the best Modern Jive event they'd ever attended! The venue is modern, air-conditioned and one of the best places in the South East for Modern Jive. This ball is a joint event with Andy McGregor's Rocsters of Brighton/Shoreham which means that people will be coming from further a field for this event. And, because it's a ball it will be dressy. Ladies know what to wear to a ball:  - black tie would be fabulous, trousers with a crease, shirt, tie and jacket would be fine - please, no jeans, t-shirts, etc. One of the good things about this dance is that you can book your seat or even a whole table in advance and pay

Parisian Night
Many thanks for the fabulous turn out at the Themed Parisian night last night. Great fun was had by all, masses of fun and fancy dress costumes. We were visited by Quazzie Modo, many French maids delighted the venue looking absolutely gorgeous, with a gentleman with green legs escorted by an escargot, 'can can' girls, dapper French gentlemen, stripy T-shirts, berets and plenty of wine and cheese made the evening complete.
