After a short break on a narrow boat on the river Wey, it's back to business and a VERY big thank you to all the lovely staff who covered whilst I was away. Last Wednesday had 90/100 people - great stuff guys many thanks for this wonderful turn out and hope to see you back this Wednesday 20th.

The last one was fabulous as they all are! Get your tickets in advance and save £ - plus you'll get first choice of tables and guarantee your place. Some people told us that it was the best Modern Jive event they'd ever attended! The venue is modern, air-conditioned and one of the best places in the South East for Modern Jive. This ball is a joint event with Andy McGregor's Rocsters of Brighton/Shoreham which means that people will be coming from further a field for this event. And, because it's a ball it will be dressy. Ladies know what to wear to a ball:  - black tie would be fabulous, trousers with a crease, shirt, tie and jacket would be fine - please, no jeans, t-shirts, etc. One of the good things about this dance is that you can book your seat or even a whole table in advance and pay. Next Cocktail and Jive Dance ..... save £'s
Working on feedback from previous events and towards a better experience for everyone we have bumped up the advertising to include the local papers, radio and tourist information offices, council notice boards, amended the seating plan to create more space and put in place a rolling rate to save money for those able to book in advance.

Book asap to reserve the best, coolest/warmest seats in the house and include your preferred table number, tickets will be sent by post unless there isn't enough time, whereby you can print off a copy of your payment and find that your name will be on the door.

Also, work has taken place to include more of your jiveable favourites and some new modern chart arrangements to add to an already impressive list. Come and join us dance, at this spectacular evening of skill, talent & elegance on

The Spectacular 'BritRock Awards' - NOT to be missed

Not just for competitors this is another spectacular event that you can all be a part of even if you just buy a spectators ticket you will have the opportunity to not only watch some of the best dancers in the whole of the UK but take part in the many opportunities of freestyle dancing during the competition day. Come and buy from the stall holders, have a foot and/or shoulder massage, watch or take part in the competition and enjoy the excitement and effervescent atmosphere of the most well organised and punctual Independent Jive Competition in the UK.

Associate Director, Charles Shirvell' of the West Ends musical 'Chicago' will not only be watching this event but joining us in a spot of guest hosting on the Saturday afternoon.
