Brighton Ball - 30th August 2008, The Great Hall, Hove Town Hall. The last one was fabulous as they all are! Get your tickets in advance and save £ - plus you'll get first choice of tables and guarantee your place. Some people told us that it was the best Modern Jive event they'd ever attended! The venue is modern, air-conditioned and one of the best places in the South East for Modern Jive. This ball is a joint event with Andy McGregor's Rocsters of Brighton/Shoreham which means that people will be coming from further a field for this event. And, because it's a ball it will be dressy. Ladies know what to wear to a ball: - black tie would be fabulous, trousers with a crease, shirt, tie and jacket would be fine - please, no jeans, t-shirts, etc. One of the good things about this dance is that you can book your seat or even a whole table in advance and pay. Sarah's Modern Jive is in its 8th year and going from strength to strength.
Starting off with one class in Sept 2000 it has grown to three healthy friendly venues in the East Sussex area. We hold monthly dances at the beautiful Eastbourne Town Hall, monthly Workshops of varying levels, 3 Special Dances at the fabulous Winter Gardens, popularly known as 'Putting on the Ritz' and 3 Brighton Balls at The Hove Centre in Brighton as well as BritRock Independent Modern Jive Competition every October.
All venues have an attractive charm of their own, as well as excellent floors and ventilation. Staff and Crew Dancers are chosen for their kindness, willingness to help and smiley faces.
