I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all who participated in West Coast Swing Wednesdays 3rd Year Anniversary Party celebrations, whether it be joining in the Fun WCS “Jack & Jill” comp, or just enjoying the social side of the event. It was a resounding success with a massive 50 entrants in the comp and a full house of spectators. Paul & I were very proud. Special thanks go to the following for all their help and support in making this night and every night a success;
Special thanks to our resident DJ Graham Burke & guest DJ Steve Hunt
To our Judges, MJ Legend Lily Barker, World Line Dance Champ Sydney Smyth and our very own UK WCS guru Paul Warden
To our adjudicator, David Barker
To our crew for the night, Manal Abuoun & Steve Hunt
To our baking team, Rob Day and Sarah “Sparkles”
To our fabulous cabaret performers, Aussie MJ Champs Peter Fradley & Amy Muncaster
To our review teachers Ed Smith & Rachel Martino
To our review teacher and general handy man Kevin Flynn
Several of our team were unable to make it to the party due to other commitments so special thanks must go to Lorraine Coulson for helping Kevin with classes when we are away, and to Angie Johnson & John Rose who work tirelessly behind the scenes assisting with classes and workshops and promoting WCS in the UK.
Lastly a very special thank you to my competitive WCS partner and friend, Paul Warden, Thank you!

For the past two years we made a special presentation to two dancers (one male, one female) that we considered to have made the most progress at West Coast Swing Wednesdays over that particular year. This year we awarded two new most improved dancers. Congratulations to you both and thank you for your effort and support;
Most Improved Female: Anita Mason
Most Improved Male: Glenn Roy
.
Last year we also introduced a new award, voted by you, the attendees. Our regulars were invited to secretly nominate their favourite female and male WCS dancers from their peer group. This year we did the same and congratulations go to the following for being so fabulously popular;
Favourite Female: Sheila Macdonald (with 28% of the votes)
Favourite Male: Randal Boyd (with 26% of the votes)
Looking forward to seeing you there,
