Hi Dancers,

It was brought to my attention last week that there was very little time (20min) for West Coast Swing fundamentals and it wasn't sufficient to pick up the move. It took me a day to figure out that part of the problem is we don't now have the fundamental consolidation class as Dan is no longer teaching with us. ( I knew it, but the impact of this hadn't formulated in my brain).

As a result of this I have decided to change the structure of Tuesday night. The Couples Course will be extended from 7.30 til 8.30 with15mins freestyle at the end.

West Coast Swing fundamentals will now start at 8.45 and go on until 9.15pm. There will then be more freestyle until 10.30pm.

There will no longer be any extra West Coast Swing moves taught formally but, we are happy to play and teach other moves informally in the freestyle.

The price for West Coast Swing fundamentals with freestyle will drop to �5. Freestyle only �3.

Finally but importantly I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dan for his unwavering support, excellent teaching and great blokeness over the last 10 years or more - you are a true star and we will miss you on Tuesday nights.

Hi Dancers,

One week to go before we start back at the newly refurbished Shoreham Centre, Pond Rd, Shoreham. BN43 5WU.

What's happening? We are starting a 7 week couple course for novices and indeed more experienced dancers who want to work intensively on their technique.

The class starts at 7.30pm and goes on until 8.10pm. It costs �50 per person, (�10 for individual classes).

If you know people (couples) who may have been put off dancing in the past, please let them know about this course. I promise to look after them and have them dancing with confidence by the end of the course.

Hello Everybody,

Feels like I've just come out of retirement... It's been a while since our last class in Shoreham but I'm pleased to let you know that refreshed by our long summer break we will be starting back again on Tuesday 9th September 08.

We have a new format to announce. For the first time we will be offering a 7 week LeRoc (Modern Jive) course for couples (you will stay with your partner) who are either beginning or want to take their dancing to a new level. We will teach one move per week from the stage and then on the floor for some individual tuition. It will be similar to our workshop format. This is an extremely effective way to learn.

If you have found the style of the rotating class format difficult in the past or want to learn with a dedicated partner, I highly recommend this course for you.

Cost �50 per person. If you can't make all classes on the course individual classes will cost �10 per person. Start time 7.30pm till 8.10pm

This is a members club and they are allowing non-members to participate in this course (by pre registration ONLY). Once again we are looking for couples and/or MEN as there are several female club members looking for partners. Please get in touch if you want to do it.

Hi Dancing people,

It's a long time since I last wrote.
This to let you know we have now finished classes at Ropetackle. We will be back at The Shoreham Centre on the 9th Sept 08.
Thank you all for your continued support.

In the meantime we will be running a six week beginner Le Roc course. If you would like to attend please email me. Dates will be confirmed. The course will cost �50 per person. Couples are preferable but if you don't have a regular partner we will endeavour to find you one.

We also intend to run a West Coast Swing workshop beg/improver workshop, please email if you are interested. This will be a Saturday event.

Oyah Oyah,

Bit of a disastrous first night at Ropetackle. I do realise it was awful weather, didn't stop Sir Edmund Hillary though... Very few regular West Coast Swingers turned up but we were saved by some lovely new people.

I hope that you will all come back next Tuesday so we can start the new year as we left the old one, on a high.

We'd also like to announce a brand new 6-week, intensive, workshop-style, Le Roc course for couples. It starts on Monday the 21st January and will be held at PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS
(St Margarets) Primary School, Lewes Rd, Ditchling BN6 8TU.
The class starts at 8.00pm and lasts two hours. The cost of the entire course is �100 per couple. Please call and book 07801 151 636.

On Thursday the 17th January we will be back teaching a Leroc class for Coleen at Broadbridge Heath. (For more details contact Colleen at misscl@btinternet.com).

You don't need any experience at all and we take it at a �do-able� pace

We're starting 2008 with a great New Year deal. Any couple paying in advance for the first five weeks of our West Coast Swing classes will pay just �40.00 per couple. A saving of �20.00! This offer is available to all - regular and new members.

Hi Dancers,

Tuesday(11th Dec.) is our last night before the Christmas break, we will back at Ropetackle on the 15th January. We hope you will join us and a few nibbles to celebrate a very successful end to what we promise is only THE START of West Coast Swing in the South-East!

Its going to be a busy week as Graham and I are going to be
teaching a Leroc class for Coleen at Broadbridge Heath, Horsham on Thursday. (For more details contact Colleen at misscl@btinternet.com). Then on Friday we're looking forward to getting in plenty of WCS freestyle at what promises to a very exciting opening night of Warren's new Decadance in Ship Street, Brighton(www.decadancenights.co.uk).

Finally on Sunday (16th Dec.) remember we're all meeting
at the Crab-tree Inn, Lancing at midday for our annual Christmas
Lunch. A big thank you to Carol for working hard to make this happen once again this year and also to Phil for cooking it!
